DIY Rustic Sideboard/Locker Cabinet

Hello there! I am so excited about this build! One of my first builds was a rustic sideboard for the dining room and I loved it! But, it was very open, and I realized I needed more space to store stuff that wasn’t pretty- so the open shelving had to go. I saw this Sideboard on Shanty 2 Chic and loved it, but it was still too visible. They did a similar version for their show, Open Concept, on HGTV- and I knew I’d found the perfect match! I absolutely love the results!

I stained the top of my sideboard in Dark Walnut, and painted the rest in Urbane Bronze. It’s a Sherwin William’s color, but I had mine mixed at Home Depot. I distressed everything a bit with my Corner Cat sander, then gave the top a few coats of poly. The hinges and handles are from Home Depot, too. I should have taken a picture of the inside- it holds so much stuff! We live in the country and have 4 kids, so I tend to stock up quite a bit and this gives me so much extra storage!

I built my Farmhouse Coffee Cabinet to match. Plans for it are from Shanty 2 Chic as well. I just changed the doors 🙂
